Translation

Let those seekers desiring liberation, those who have subdued the impurities of mind by following the prescribed paths, those who have withdrawn from the worldly pleasures, those who have attained calmness of mind and those who relish the scriptures, respect this benevolent teaching.

Annotation

The prescribed paths are karma–yoga, dhyāna–yoga, jñāna–yoga, bhakti–yoga etc., described in the Gita. Vedas are the very essence, rasa, of life. Those who take delight in this rasa, those who are connoisseurs of Vedanta are called śruti–rasikāḥ by Sri Shankara in this verse. Calmness of mind means a mind in which all the dualities have ceased.
